Day on the Green, 1985

Metallica performed at Day on the Green, Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, Oakland, California, August 31, 1985. This was one of the band's first stadium shows, and MTV recorded a portion of their performance including a now-legendary solo by Cliff Burton at the top of "For Whom the Bell Tolls." ​
