"Disposable Heroes" by Shepard Fairey

Shepard Fairey is a fine artist, street artist, and activist who emerged from the world of skateboarding and alternative music culture. His Andre the Giant (...OBEY...) sticker campaign caught fire while Fairey was still attending RISD in Massachusetts. He went on to design President Obama's 2008 "Hope" campaign poster and has since had his work shown at The Smithsonian, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C., and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Fairey's poster inspired by "Disposable Heroes" expounds on the song's themes of the devaluation of soldiers and abuse of governmental power.
