Heavy Sound Festival

Metallica played the Heavy Sound Festival, Don Bosco Sportsfields, Poperinge, Belgium, June 10, 1984. Other acts included Motörhead, Twisted Sister, Mercyful Fate, Lita Ford, Faithful Breath, and H. Bomb.

Dutch fanzine Tytan described the show as, "the sensation of the century - they bring incredibly rough and fast music, these four heavy boys from America. On stage they were just criminals...The sound of this group was also excellent, only during the first four songs there was too much power for the PA."
