Some Kind of Monster
Documentary filmmakers Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky (Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills) began filming the members of Metallica in April 2001 for the purpose of creating two sixty-minute promotional films in support of St. Anger. By the end of the project, Berlinger and Sinofsky had filmed the band for 715 days. The resulting footage became the award-winning 2004 documentary, Metallica: Some Kind of Monster.
