"SPUN" Live at Kimo's

Photos of Metallica's surprise performance at San Francisco club Kimo's, June 5, 2002. Bob Rock called Kimo's to take advantage of their $75 fee to play using the pseudonym "SPUN." The 45-minute set marked Metallica's first performance in two years. It included four Ramones covers, one Misfits cover, a few Metallica songs, and an unreleased track recorded during the Presidio sessions, "Dead Kennedy Rolls." Bob Rock played bass, filling the vacancy left by Jason Newsted.
